Drake Releases "Dark Lane Demo Tapes"

On May 1st, Drake released his mixtape “Dark Lane Demo Tapes”. Dark Lane Demo Tapes contains fourteen songs featuring rappers from Fivio Foriegn, Sosa Geek, Future, Playboi Carti, Future, Young Thug, and Giveon. With all of these features, Drake will have multiple types of songs from the traditional trap to love songs. The most recent album he released was “Scorpion”, Scorpion had hits like Nonstop, God’s Plan, and I’m Upset. Scorpion got awarded the award for Billboard Music Award for Top Billboard 200 Album.

Drake has had multi albums gone platinum including Scorpion, Views, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, What A Time To Be Alive, and Thank Me Later. The Toronto native has also put out multiple singles that have gone platinum including The Motto, Nice For What, One Dance, and much more. Drake has five singles from Scorpion go on the Billboard Hot 100 including In My Feelings, Nice for What, Nonstop, Don’t Matter to Me, and I’m Upset.

Drake posted on Instagram saying, “My brothers @oliverelkhatib @ovonoel put together alot of the songs people have been asking for (some leaks and some joints from SoundCloud and some new vibes) DARK LANE DEMO TAPES out everywhere at midnight…also my 6th STUDIO ALBUM DROPPING SUMMER 2020!!! Lucky number 6 😈 soon fwd.” From this post Drake announced he will be dropping an album this summer.
