Cam Newton signs a one-year deal with the New England Patriots
After most of the free-agent Quarterbacks were signing with other NFL teams, the New England Patriots Quarterback position was still in question if it would be Jarret Stidham as the Patriots starting quarterback but now it seems that question has been answered. The one-year deal is an incentive-laden deal which is a bare minimum deal. ESPN’s Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted saying, “Former NFL MVP Cam Newton has reached agreement on a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the New England Patriots, league sources tell @mortreportand me. Newton now will step into the mix to try to help replace former Patriots’ QB, Tom Brady.”
