OPEN RECREATIONAL SEASONS: Pink snapper (Friday-through-Sunday seasons), a number of snapper species & all groupers besides closed for goliath & Nassau groupers in state/federal waters.

SHRIMP: All state inshore waters closed apart from the double-rig line space in Breton & Chandeleur sounds. All state exterior waters are open.

CLOSED SEASONS: Leisure higher amberjack (reopens Aug. 1) & grey triggerfish; industrial king mackerel (hook & line; gill-netting) in Gulf of Mexico Southern Zone. Business take of enormous coastal sharks (massive coastal and hammerhead teams) closed in state & federal waters via Dec. 31. Take of blacktip sharks stays open.

LDWF UPDATES

• U.S. 90 boat launch on Center River off the Pearl River system closed for repairs.

• Every day free shuttles to and from the Elmer’s Island seashores towards Caminada Cross from the parking space off La. 1 function from dawn to sundown via Labor Day.

• Drawdowns scheduled to start Aug. 2 on Black and Clear Lake (Natchitoches Parish).
