Multiple Call Of Duty Pro’s Upset Over Lack Of “Dedicated Servers”
After the Call Of Duty League’s Dallas Empire Home Series many pro players were upset over the lack of “dedicated servers”. The pro players were promised dedicated servers, and even acknowledged the possibility of failure. They put out a question and answer statement about the concerns of online play by saying, “It’s a learning experience. We know online match play won’t be perfect, but we are doing everything in our power to make the best competitive environment we can.” You can see the full article here.
Multiple pro players have come out talking about the unfairness of the situation. Dallas Empires’ Crimsix said:
Just trying to stay professional/not get fined/let you guys know my thoughts on this weekends online event…. and the only thing I can really say while trying to do those 3 is by saying that I did not enjoy competing this weekend given the circumstances.

Los Angeles Optic Gaming member Jkap said:
The reality here is that the CDL was in a near-impossible spot with the switch to online and anyone expecting a perfect broadcast and product simply wasn’t being unrealistic. However, playing on laggy servers that were KNOWN to be laggy from previous test runs is unacceptable.

He continued to say, “Players this weekend also weren’t even being told where the servers were located.” Seattle Surge’s Octane had this to say on Twitter:
I can't convey my opinion on twitter well enough for people that didn't experience this weekend to understand. People think I'm just being salty or rude for the sake of it but the amount of frustration all pros have dealt with this year is astounding.

Crimsix also talked to his livestream about the lag during the tournament. He talked about two situations. One where a player threw a grenade and it lagged and killed the played that threw it. Another one is when he ran in the hill and was there for ten seconds and it lagged him back. You can see the clip here.
