Riot Games Gave Nadeshot “Preferential Treatment”

100Thieves owner Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag has a huge following, more than any other LCS team owner and he is staying committed to content creation on his Youtube, and Twitch. With this in mind, it is not surprising that he gets early access to games. One of the most recent games he got early access to is Riot Games’ Valorant. However, since he the owner of 100Thieves he has an LCS team. LCS team owners are getting Valorant on the 8th. Since Nadeshot is a large content creator it is not surprising he got early access. According to Nadeshot, multiple LCS owners had an issue with this. Nadeshot has this to say about owners complaining that he got access:

Jack Etienne owner of Cloud9 responded on twitter by saying:

Jack Etienne did say that he did not agree with the ruling to not let Nadeshot stream the game a day early. That brings it down to Riot who knew Nadeshot was an owner of an LCS team, and they also knew that influences get to stream it before LCS team owners do. However, Riot Games knew this and they let Nadeshot get access to the closed beta. They also told him he could stream a day early, but since team owners made a fuss about it he got that revoked.
