Sheetz punched its ticket to the best-of-five George B. Kelley Junior Baseball Federation championship sequence with a two-game sweep of Re/Max Realty at Vets Area.

Sheetz beat Re/Max, 6-3, on Saturday, then closed out the best-of-three sequence with a 12-5 win on Sunday. Sheetz will now meet the winner of tonight’s Tyrone Legion-Patton Legion recreation within the finals starting Wednesday.

On Saturday, Erik Rhodes smacked a house run and drove in two runs, Jacob Detwiler knocked in three runs on three hits, Brayden Harbaugh had three hits, and Kyle Wilson added two hits.

Detwiler and Wilson mixed on a six-hitter.

On Sunday, Wilson led the way in which with three hits and 4 RBIs, Detwiler had two hits and two RBIs, Alex Yost had three hits, Rhodes had two hits, and profitable pitcher Aidan Steinbugl drove in two runs.

Garrett Rossman drove in two runs for Re/Max.

Patton, Tyrone tied

Patton Legion evened up its best-of-three sequence with Tyrone Legion with a comeback 4-3 victory on Sunday at Vets Area.

Patton, down 3-0 and on the verge of elimination, scored three runs within the backside of the sixth to tie the sport, then received in walk-off vogue with a run within the backside of the seventh.

Zach Letso had two hits for Patton Legion, and Adam Ford earned the win.

Tyrone took the opener on Saturday at Vets Area, 12-2, in six innings. Rodney Shultz and Ashton Stroll led Tyrone with two hits and two RBIs apiece.

Luke Brooks fired a two-hitter with seven strikeouts. Additionally aiding within the Tyrone win have been Bryce Hunter, Brandon Lucas, Nicholas Lehner and Ryan Gentle with two hits apiece.

Patton and Tyrone will meet at 6 p.m. tonight at Stout Area with the winner advancing to face Sheetz within the best-of-five finals starting Wednesday.

Cumming Motors chalked up two wins over B&M Contracting on Sunday at Juniata within the Altoona Better Metropolis Baseball League.

Cumming received the completion of a suspended recreation by rallying for 2 runs within the backside of the seventh inning to put up a 9-8 win.

Within the often scheduled recreation, Cumming scored seven runs within the fifth inning to interrupt open a detailed recreation en path to a 15-4 triumph in six innings.
