Sony Announces PlayStation 5 Event for June 4th & Update from Sony President/CEO

Sony has officially announced that there will be an event coming June 4th for “a look at the future of gaming on PlayStation 5” which will feature gameplay on the next PlayStation 5 console. Jim Ryan who is is the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment mentions that the event will run for a bit more than an hour which they will showcase video games played on the console. Although there is yet to be a console reveal, this event is said especially to be for video games played on the PlayStation 5 and nothing else was mentioned about a console reveal. You can watch this event on both Twitch and YouTube on June 4 at 1pm PDT / 10pm CEST / and 9PM BST. Jim Ryan gives an update on the progress of the PS5 saying, “That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware. ”
