The Call Of Duty League Announces Their New Schedule

Since March 12th many Call of Duty League fans have been wondering when the league will resume play. The Los Angeles home series had many people wondering if the league would continue. After all the speculation, today on the Call of Duty League website they announced the new schedule and that it would be online only. They said “While the unprecedented global challenges of the past month required us to shift away from live events, our commitment to delivering elite competitive entertainment for our fans remains unwavering. Today, we are proud to announce that the world’s best players are returning to action this Friday, April 10 at 4 p.m. ET, with the league shifting to an online competition and broadcast production format.” It will be livestreamed on their YouTube channel starting this Friday at 4 P.M. EST.

They also said “Additional details about the 2020 Call of Duty Championship Weekend will be released at a later time.” For challengers the season is not over either. The Call of Duty League has stated “for our aspiring path to pro community, team-hosted Call of Duty Challengers events will now take place online in conjunction with teams’ Home Series weekends and will feature dedicated tournaments across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.” They also stated that they “will also produce five dedicated two-day Challengers events, each with US $50,000 in prizing, held across all three regions.” Also, for the Call of Duty League City Circuit which takes place in the Gunfight mode. They will have to qualify through an online tournament. They said “Each Call of Duty franchise team may choose to nominate their representing duo or qualify them through online competition. Make sure to follow your favorite team’s social media channels for more information on how to participate in their City Circuit.”
