Twitch viewers use streams to distract themselves from everyday life because everyone needs a break. Twitch streamers also stream to get away from everyday life. Twitch viewer “MissNerdyCurvy” is dealing with something no one usually wants, a death of a parent. In this case, her mother had passed away. Twitch streamer, “WeFoundTheBody” decided to berate her by saying, Alright, you know what we are not going to do, is talk about it in my chat.”This came after the streamer asked where MissNerdyCurvy had been. He continues to say, “We are not gonna talk about it because it is a big bucket of bummer.” I can only imagine how MissNerdyCurvy feels about this “big bucket of bummer”. After this, the streamer berates her about proper chat etiquette. You can watch the full clip below

Her clip on Twitter is edited, but due to a autocorrect issue she was afraid her chat message would have been misunderstood so she typed it again. She was replying to a joke and answering his question about where she had been. She typed, “LMAO! well my mom died.” She was on her mobile device and autocorrect messed up the meaning of her message.

After receiving much of this backlash he would go on to apologize on Twitter. This would usually be the end of the story but it is not. He made a video response doubling down on his response. A few of his own Twitch community members have expressed their issues with how he responded. He says in the apology video that trauma dumping is not allowed in his chat. In many people’s chats, they also agree, but in this case, he had specifically asked about why she had been gone for so long. More shockingly in his apology video, it appeared he was boasting about all of the attention he was receiving. He actually even stopped in the middle of the video to thank someone who followed his Twitch. You can watch his full apology below.
