“Sha EK – Return of The Jiggy” Album Review
Rapper Sha EK hailing from the Bronx recently dropped his album, “Return of The Jiggy“. Return of The Jiggy is Sha EK’s second album following his debut album, “Face of the What“. Return of The Jiggy has 14 tracks with a run time of 28 minutes and 11 seconds. I will break down this entire album track by track below.
Track 1 – O to the G – The beat goes absolutely insane in this song and he does a great job keeping up with the beat and giving us fantastic energy. I give this song a 10/10 and would definitely determine it as playlist material
Track 2 – Billboard Baby – The beat yet again does not disappoint and he keeps up with the beat and the energy is just insane. I also give this song a 10/10 and determine it as playlist material.
Track 3 – Level I’m At – This song yet again keeps up the same energy as the first two songs and just keeps it up the entire time. If he can keep this up for the whole album there will not be one skippable song on the album. I also give this song a 10/10.
Track 4 – Return of the Jiggy – His bars in this song are on another level. His wordplay is very good and his energy has not slowed down at all. I give this song a 10/10. This song is also playlist material.
Track 5 – 41 Ways – There has not been a single miss on this entire album so far. This song is a 10/10 and there has not been a bad beat so far. This song is also playlist material.
Track 6 – Sitchy Outside – At this point in the album I do not think Sha EK can choose a bad beat. This song is a 10/10 and I feel like dancing the entire album because of the energy he is bringing.
Track 7 – Turned They Back – His energy at this point can not be matched. In this song, the energy is very high but he talks about his struggles saying, “When people thought he wouldn’t make they turned their back”. This song is also a 10/10 and playlist material.
Track 8 – Menace – He continues speaking about his struggles in this song. He says a lot of stuff people can relate to if they ever went through something so this song connects to me on a different level. I give this song a 10/10.
Track 9 – Situated – I feel like his mic volume was lowered during this song. I do not know if it is because he was in a different studio or if the engineer made a mistake. Even though the mic volume is lowered you can still feel the energy and I still give this song a 10/10
Track 10 – For the Block – This song feels like it is on another level compared to all the other ones I listened to. Also, he is not worried about making music for the radio saying, “I’m not making no sh*t for the radio I’m making it for the block”. I give this song a 10/10 and believe it is playlist material.
Track 11 – Got Bigger – Yet again it feels like this mic volume is lowered but this is a slower type of song and creates a slow vibe. I am very happy he separated the hype songs from the slow songs. I give this song a 10/10.
Track 12 – Lately – This song is also a slower song. I am happy to hear this type of song from Sha EK because it shows he can diversify himself from just rapping. The hook in this song is very catchy and good. He again speaks about how he feels people do not want him to shine. I give this song a 10/10.
Track 13 – Losin’ My Mind – This song is also a slower song. I am very much enjoying these slower songs. I want to hear more of this from Sha EK because I feel this is very good. I give this song a 10/10
Track 14 – Been Through – Another slow song but he talks about something different in each of these slow songs so it does not feel repetitive. If you can relate to what he is talking about in these slow songs you will like it. I give this song a 10/10.
The ratio for this album is 140/140 so this album is a 10/10 in my opinion. To listen to this album look below and enjoy!
